The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national level admission test for admissions to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programmes offered by 25 National Law Universities in India.

CLAT is organized by the Consortium of National Law Universities, comprising representative universities.

Several affiliate universities and organisations also use the CLAT exam for admissions and recruitment respectively.

All admissions to the 5-year integrated LL.B. and LL.M. programmes that commence in the Academic Year 2026-2027 shall be through the CLAT 2026

Clat UG Course Eligibilty

  • Candidates who have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minumum of:
  • Forty five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent in grade or Forty Percent (40%) of marks or equivalent in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.

Clat PG Course Eligibilty

Ll.B. Degree or an equivalent examination with a minimum of Fifty percent (50%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to General/OBC/NRI categories and Forty-Five percent (45%) marks or its equivalent grade in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD categories.

  1. Candidates appearing for their qualifying examination in April/May 2025 are also eligible to apply.
  2. There is no upper age limit for appearing for the CLAT 2025.

Age Limit 

  • There is no upper age limit for candidates appearing for UG Programme for the CLAT 2026.
  • Candidates who have passed in 10+2 or an equivalent examination with a minimum of:
    1. Forty five percent (45%) of marks or its equivalent in grade or
    2. Forty Percent (40%) of marks or equivalent
    3. in case of candidates belonging to SC/ST/PwD categories.Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in March/ April, 2026 are also eligible to apply. .

  •  Read the official notification carefully before filling out the recruitment application form  
  •  Keep all required documents ready – Eligibility certificates, ID proof, address details, and basic details
  •  Prepare scanned copies of necessary documents – Photograph, signature, ID proof, etc.
  •  Before submitting, carefully review the preview of the form and check all columns
  • If the application fee is required, ensure it is paid. Without the required fee, your application will be considered incomplete
  •  After final submission, take a printout of the completed form for your records
